Booking your make-up     

This should be done as early as possible, as I can normally only do one wedding a day.  To book your make-up all you need to do is send an email with the date, time, location etc. Once the booking is in the diary the date is yours. I will send out a booking form with all the details I require. The form can then be emailed back to me.

Timing the Make-up Rehearsal 

These can take place as early as you wish, some brides wait until about 4 weeks before the wedding, others have the make-up rehearsal 6 months before their day. 

At the rehearsal we discuss your wedding theme, dress, hair and the look you want.  We then set about designing your make-up for your special day. 

Location of your Make-up rehearsal

These take place at my studio in Boxmoor, Hemel Hempstead.  We live in a Town House and the downstairs of the house is my studio.  It is very relaxing and enjoyable.  We have a large sofa, so if you want to bring anyone along, you are very welcome. You can also park just outside the house.

Useful things to bring to your make-up rehearsal

Pictures of your dress, and the colours of your bridesmaids dresses.  It is also useful if you have seen pictures of make-up in magazines. Clip these out and we can have a look through them.  This gives me an idea of the sort of thing you have in your head.  If not I have lots of books to look through.

The Wedding Day Timings 

Wedding mornings often start very early, this is not a problem.  We want you all to look beautiful on your wonderful day.

I normally arrive about 15 minutes before we are due to start, this allows me to set up the make-up and be ready on time.  I always bring my make-up chair, it is very comfortable and at the correct level.

I will allow enough time for each make-up - the exact timings wll depend on the number of people requiring make-up and whether you have an on-site hairdresser, or if you will be going out to the hairdressers. I will make sure you have plenty of time to get ready without feeling rushed. 

False eyelashes have become very popular over the last couple of years, these can be applied for you. There will be a small addition charge for eyelashes.

This part of your wedding should be relaxing and enjoyable.  I will give you all some lipstick to touch up during the day.  This will be the only make-up you need.
